Luggage set or single case?

Are you preparing for a trip and unsure whether to buy a luggage set or a single suitcase? Here are some tips to help you make the right choice.

A luggage set is ideal for frequent flyers and long-haul travelers to ensure compliance with airline recommendations, e.g., regarding weight. However, if you travel only occasionally, a single suitcase can be ideal so that you don't have to burden yourself unnecessarily. Even when buying a luggage set, you can simply choose the size you need depending on your travel requirements, making you more flexible.
A luggage set is also ideal for a short trip with the family, everyone has their own suitcase! There are 2-piece, 3-piece, and even 4-piece sets, but if you live alone, it's best to buy a suitcase tailored to your specific needs. To sum it up, here are the advantages of a luggage set.

1.
Suitcases in sizes S (carry-on), M (medium), and L or XL (large suitcase). If you already have a luggage set, you don't need to buy another suitcase; you can simply choose the size you need, unless other needs arise.
2.
In a luggage set, the suitcases can be stacked inside each other, saving more space at home, and you can be sure that all suitcases have the same features (e.g., telescopic handle, 360° wheels).
3.
In a luggage set, the suitcases are uniform and easily recognizable, and it is much cheaper than buying several suitcases individually.

A luggage set also has some disadvantages

1.
A luggage set usually costs more than a single suitcase. If you don't need all sizes, it might be cheaper to buy only a suitable suitcase.
2.
If you want to use several suitcases from the set at once, traveling can become more complicated as more luggage needs to be transported.
3.
Many travelers prefer a specific size. For example, if you only use carry-on luggage or only go on long trips, some suitcases will remain unused.
